At the age of 18, he joined his first gym and started competing while also actively playing rugby.

From 2006 to 2011 he competed in various local and national competitions in the INBA, NABBA and IFBB Federation NZ. In 2011, Johnny represented New Zealand at his first international competition, Mr. Universe in Hamburg, Germany where he placed 10th.

He hopes to one day win the IFBB World Championship and compete in Mr Olympia.

When asked what motivates him to stay at the top of his game, he said, “It took me many years of hard training to get the physique I have today. What you need is what I had – belief in yourself. Being negative and lazy is a disease that leads to pain, hardships, depression, poor health and failure. Be proactive and give a damn to achieve success. Vision creates faith and faith creates willpower. With faith there is no anxiety and no doubt – just absolute confidence in yourself.

Training, Nutrition and Supplementations play a huge part in any bodybuilder’s achievement, I strongly believe that I will go far in this journey and become one of the best in the bodybuilding industries.”
